Food was a little-known psychedelic band from Chicago that released one album, Forever Is A Dream, in 1969. The record is a lost masterpiece of baroque psych, lush orchestration, and melodic songwriting. Produced by Terry Philips, it combines dreamy vocals, brass and string arrangements, and shifting moods reminiscent of Love, The Left Banke, or early Procol Harum. Long ignored, the album has since gained cult status among psychedelic rock aficionados for its ethereal atmosphere and emotional depth.
