Originaire de la région de Newcastle, en Angleterre, White Light est un obscur trio de rock chrétien progressif actif au début des années 70. Leur unique album, Parable, autoproduit en 1974 et distribué localement en petite quantité, mêle influences psychédéliques, folk électrique et rock progressif dans une atmosphère intimiste et sincère. Les textes, à forte teneur spirituelle, sont portés par des harmonies vocales soignées et des guitares envoûtantes. The band’s DIY approach, warm production, and earnest songwriting have made Parable a sought-after cult classic among collectors of British underground and Christian folk-psych.
