Originaire de Redlands en Californie, The Peppermint Trolley Company est un groupe américain formé au cœur de la scène sunshine pop de la fin des années 60. Publié en 1968 sur le label Acta, leur unique album Beautiful Sun illustre à merveille l’esthétique de cette époque : harmonies vocales ciselées, orchestrations légères, psychédélisme feutré et innocence pop. Le groupe est également connu pour avoir enregistré le thème original de la série TV The Brady Bunch. Malgré un succès limité, leur musique subtile et nostalgique s'inscrit dans la lignée de The Association, The Left Banke ou Sagittarius. Beautiful Sun est aujourd’hui considéré comme un trésor caché de la pop baroque américaine.

The band briefly rose to fame for recording the original theme of The Brady Bunch TV series. Echoing bands like The Association and The Left Banke, their music blends innocence and sophistication, leaving behind a cult album beloved by collectors of late-60s American pop.
