Passing Clouds est un groupe britannique éphémère dont l’unique album, Hawks and Doves, a vu le jour en 1968 dans l’underground londonien. Très peu documenté, ce disque rare combine folk psychédélique, rock pastoral et harmonies vocales délicates dans une veine proche de The Incredible String Band, Trader Horne ou Forest. L’album s’inscrit dans la mouvance "acid folk" du Royaume-Uni, avec une production artisanale et une instrumentation organique (guitares acoustiques, flûtes, claviers doux, percussions légères). Passing Clouds was a short-lived British folk-psych outfit whose sole LP, Hawks and Doves, released in 1968, emerged from the vibrant London underground scene. A true obscurity, the album delivers gentle acoustic textures, dreamy harmonies, and pastoral moods reminiscent of Forest, The Incredible String Band, and early Fairport Convention. Rich in natural ambiance and subtle experimentation, the record blends traditional folk influences with psychedelic overtones, offering a fragile and poetic vision of late-60s British counterculture. Today, it stands as a cult favorite among collectors of acid folk rarities.
