🇺🇸 Biography (English)
Pete Brown & Piblokto! was a British progressive rock band formed in 1969 by Pete Brown, a poet and lyricist best known for his collaborations with the band Cream. After his departure from Pete Brown & His Battered Ornaments, he formed Piblokto! with a lineup including Laurie Allan (drums), Jim Mullen (guitar), Roger Bunn (bass), and Dave Thompson (keyboards). The band signed with Harvest Records and released two albums: Things May Come and Things May Go but the Art School Dance Goes on Forever (1969) and Thousands on a Raft (1970). The latter is a blend of progressive rock, jazz, and poetry, with tracks like "Highland Song" and "If They Could Only See Me Now" showcasing their experimental approach. The band disbanded in 1971, but the album remains a testament to their unique creativity.
