Hairy Chapter est un groupe allemand de hard rock psychédélique actif à la charnière des années 1960 et 1970. Issu de la scène krautrock, le groupe se distingue par une fusion puissante de rock lourd, d’improvisations psychédéliques et d’influences blues. Formé à Bonn, Hairy Chapter enregistre deux albums : Eyes (1969, sous le nom The Chaparall Electric Sound Inc.) et Can't Get Through (1971), leur œuvre la plus aboutie. Malgré un talent manifeste et un son explosif évoquant Cream, Hendrix et Black Sabbath, le groupe reste méconnu du grand public. Leur musique, marquée par des solos de guitare intenses et une rythmique nerveuse, est aujourd’hui saluée par les amateurs de rock obscur et collectors de vinyles rares.

Biography (English)
Hairy Chapter was a German psychedelic hard rock band active around the turn of the 1970s. Rooted in the krautrock movement, they combined heavy bluesy guitar riffs, psychedelic jamming, and gritty vocals. Initially known as The Chaparall Electric Sound Inc., the band released two albums, with Can't Get Through (1971) being their most acclaimed. Despite limited commercial success, Hairy Chapter developed a cult following due to their raw power, intense guitar solos, and progressive tendencies. Their legacy endures among fans of obscure and heavy underground rock from the early 1970s.
