Ticket est un groupe néo-zélandais de rock progressif et psychédélique actif au début des années 1970. Formé à Auckland, le groupe est composé de membres issus de la scène rock locale, notamment Ricky Ball, Paul Woolwright, Eddie Hansen et Trevor Tombleson. Leur album Awake, sorti en 1972, est une pièce maîtresse du rock psyché néo-zélandais, alliant guitares fluides, claviers aériens et structures progressives. L’influence du blues, du jazz-rock et du psychédélisme californien s’y fait sentir, avec des titres planants et introspectifs comme "Awake" et "Broken Wings". L’album, devenu culte, est aujourd’hui recherché des collectionneurs pour son originalité et son atmosphère hypnotique.

Ticket was a progressive and psychedelic rock band from New Zealand, active in the early 1970s. Formed in Auckland, the band featured seasoned musicians such as Ricky Ball, Paul Woolwright, Eddie Hansen, and Trevor Tombleson. Their 1972 album Awake stands as a cornerstone of New Zealand's early prog-rock scene, showcasing a fusion of bluesy grooves, spacey psychedelia, and intricate musicianship. With standout tracks like "Awake" and "Broken Wings", the record reflects the spirit of an era where exploration and sonic texture reigned.
