Highway Robbery was a short-lived American power trio that released a single, blistering album in 1972: For Love or Money. A potent mix of heavy psych, hard rock and early proto-metal, the band’s aggressive sound is reminiscent of Grand Funk Railroad, Dust and Blue Cheer. With Don Francisco’s intense vocals and drumming, Michael Stevens’ thundering basslines, and John Livingston Tunison IV’s explosive guitar work, the album delivers raw, unfiltered rock energy. Despite poor promotion at the time, it has become a cult favorite among collectors and fans of underground 70s rock.
