Groupe californien éphémère mais inspiré, Puzzle livre en 1969 un unique album éponyme aux accents jazz-rock, psychédéliques et soul, dans la veine de Blood, Sweat & Tears ou Chicago Transit Authority. Porté par une section cuivres éclatante, des vocaux puissants et des arrangements riches, Puzzle affiche une grande variété de styles, allant du rock psyché à la soul orchestrale. Bien qu’il n’ait pas rencontré le succès commercial escompté, l’album reste un témoignage vibrant de la fusion musicale qui animait la côte Ouest à la fin des sixties.

Formed in California, Puzzle released their self-titled and only album in 1969, blending psychedelic rock, soul, and jazz influences into a dynamic and horn-driven sound. Comparable to Blood, Sweat & Tears or early Chicago, the band showcased energetic vocals, rich brass arrangements, and adventurous songwriting. Though it didn’t chart at the time, Puzzle remains a cult classic of the late-60s brass-rock movement, offering a snapshot of genre-blending experimentation with vibrant West Coast flair.
