Jeremiah est un obscur groupe américain originaire de l’Ohio, auteur d’un unique album paru en 1971 sur le très confidentiel label RPC (Records Production Company). Le disque, auto-produit et tiré à très peu d’exemplaires, est aujourd’hui une rareté recherchée par les collectionneurs de rock psychédélique. Fondé et mené par le chanteur-guitariste Dave Brown, Jeremiah propose un rock bluesy aux accents soul, parfois teinté de soft rock et de folk, porté par une instrumentation simple mais expressive. La sincérité des compositions, la voix chaleureuse du chanteur et les guitares modérément saturées confèrent à cet album un charme indéniable, typique des productions underground du Midwest américain au début des années 70.

Jeremiah was a little-known American group from Ohio who released their only album in 1971 on the ultra-obscure RPC label. Self-produced and pressed in very limited quantities, the LP has become a collector’s gem in the psychedelic and private press rock scene. Founded and fronted by singer-guitarist Dave Brown, the band delivers a mellow blend of bluesy rock, soft soul, and folk-influenced melodies, all played with heartfelt sincerity. With modest production, smooth vocals, and lightly distorted guitars, Jeremiah captures the lo-fi charm and warm spontaneity of the early ’70s Midwest underground.
