Formé par le claviériste Graham Field après son départ de Rare Bird, Fields est un groupe britannique qui ne publiera qu’un unique album en 1971. Avec Andrew McCulloch (ex-King Crimson) à la batterie et Alan Barry à la basse et au chant, Fields livre un disque complexe, subtil mélange d’acid rock, de rock progressif et de psychédélisme, porté par des claviers majestueux et des compositions inventives. Injustement oublié, l’album est devenu culte parmi les amateurs de raretés 70s.

Formed by keyboardist Graham Field after leaving Rare Bird, Fields was a short-lived British band that released only one self-titled album in 1971. With Andrew McCulloch (ex-King Crimson) on drums and Alan Barry on bass and vocals, the trio delivered a complex, elegant mix of acid rock, progressive structures and psychedelic textures. Though overlooked at the time, Fields has become a cult classic among 70s rarity enthusiasts.
