Pax est un groupe péruvien de hard rock fondé à Lima au début des années 1970. Leur unique album, éponyme, paru en 1972, s’impose comme un jalon fondamental du rock sud-américain. Avec des guitares abrasives, des influences heavy psyché et blues rock, Pax développe un son rageur, nourri par des références à Led Zeppelin, Cream ou encore Jimi Hendrix. Le chanteur Miguel "Chino" Figueroa, à la voix puissante et expressive, marque les compositions d’une intensité rare dans la scène péruvienne de l’époque. Le groupe n’a laissé qu’un seul album studio, mais celui-ci s’est imposé comme un incontournable du rock psyché latino.

Pax was a Peruvian hard rock band formed in Lima in the early 1970s. Their sole self-titled album, released in 1972, is now considered a cornerstone of Latin American rock. Combining bluesy riffs, psychedelic overtones, and a heavy rock drive reminiscent of Led Zeppelin and Cream, Pax delivered a raw and powerful sound. Vocalist Miguel "Chino" Figueroa brought soulful, high-energy vocals to the band’s heavy psych compositions, giving them a unique intensity. Despite their short-lived career, Pax remains a cult name among collectors of Latin psych and proto-metal.
