Waterloo was a short-lived progressive rock band from Belgium, active in the late 1960s and early 1970s. First Battle(1970) is their sole release, now considered a hidden gem of early European prog rock. The album blends progressive rock with psychedelic overtones and occasional jazzy textures. Dominated by Hammond organ, flute solos, and complex song structures, it draws comparisons to Jethro Tull, Procol Harum, and early King Crimson. Though obscure outside Belgium, First Battle enjoys a cult following among vinyl collectors and progressive rock aficionados.
