Jodo est un obscur power trio britannique formé autour du guitariste et chanteur John Brecknell, épaulé par Rod Alexander (basse) et Brian "Chico" Greenwood (batterie). Leur unique album Guts, sorti en 1971 sur le label Decca, est un condensé de heavy blues-rock à la Cream ou Free, mâtiné d’influences hard rock. Produit par le célèbre Derek Lawrence (Deep Purple, Wishbone Ash), le disque offre un son brut, plein de fuzz et de groove, dans une veine résolument musclée mais accessible. Jodo was a short-lived British power trio fronted by guitarist/vocalist John Brecknell, accompanied by bassist Rod Alexander and drummer Brian "Chico" Greenwood. Their sole album Guts, released in 1971 on Decca, is a raw blend of heavy blues-rock and early hard rock influences. Produced by Derek Lawrence (noted for his work with Deep Purple and Wishbone Ash), the record delivers gritty riffs, soulful vocals, and unpolished intensity. Though largely overlooked at the time, Guts has become a hidden gem among collectors and fans of underground heavy rock.
