Après leur seul album Before the War (1968) sous le nom de Bo Grumpus, produit par Felix Pappalardi, le groupe change de label et de nom pour devenir Jolliver Arkansaw en 1969, suite à des problèmes juridiques. Enregistré à Gotham Sound Studios (NYC) et produit par Pappalardi, Home incarne la rencontre entre folk‑psych, country‑rock et arrangements orchestraux discrets. L’invité notable Leslie West (Mountain) figure sur le titre « Gray Afternoon », dont le solo marquant inspira la naissance de Mountain. Malgré l’accueil modeste, l’album est une rareté recherchée pour ses atmosphères roots rock et ses influences blues‑folk.

Following their 1968 album as Bo Grumpus, produced by Felix Pappalardi, the band rebranded as Jolliver Arkansaw in 1969 due to legal restrictions. They recorded Home at Gotham Sound Studios in NYC, produced by Pappalardi, merging folk-psych, country-rock, and subtle orchestration. Leslie West guests on “Gray Afternoon,” whose guitar work led Pappalardi to recruit him for Mountain. Despite limited success, Home remains a cult gem among collectors.
