Ce projet studio londonien est né en 1968 du duo David Montague & Guy Mascolo (coiffeurs de Clapham). En quelques après‑midis, ils enregistrent un concept-album racontant le week‑end typique du citadin fatigué. Avec l’aide de musiciens essentiels comme John Du Cann, Mick Hawksworth et Jack McCulloch, ils créent une œuvre unique mêlant pop psychédélique, effets sonores (voitures, enfants, pluie…), spoken word et harmonies folk‑pop. With backing from future Andromeda members John Du Cann, Mick Hawksworth, and Jack McCulloch, the record combines psychedelic pop with sound effect sketches (car chases, rainstorms), spoken-word snippets, and melodic harmonies. Though overlooked initially, it has since been hailed as a cult gem—ranking among the 100 Greatest Psychedelic Records
