Sorti le 25 juin 1976, Whistling Down the Wire est le troisième album studio du duo David Crosby et Graham Nash. Il s'agit du deuxième opus de leur contrat de trois albums avec ABC Records. L'album a atteint la 26e place du Billboard 200 et a été certifié disque d'or par la RIAA. Deux singles en ont été extraits : "Out of the Darkness" et "Spotlight", dont seul le premier a atteint la 89e place du Billboard Hot 100. L'enregistrement de l'album a coïncidé avec une tentative avortée de réunion de Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, ce qui a conduit à des tensions entre les membres du groupe. Malgré cela, Crosby et Nash ont poursuivi leur collaboration, offrant un album riche en harmonies vocales et en compositions introspectives.

Released on June 25, 1976, Whistling Down the Wire is the third studio album by the duo David Crosby and Graham Nash. It represents the second installment of their three-album deal with ABC Records. The album peaked at number 26 on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold by the RIAA. Two singles were released: "Out of the Darkness" and "Spotlight," with only the former charting at number 89 on the Billboard Hot 100. The recording sessions coincided with an aborted attempt at a Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young reunion, leading to tensions among the members. Nonetheless, Crosby and Nash continued their collaboration, delivering an album rich in vocal harmonies and introspective compositions.
