Travis, Shook & The Club Wow is an avant-garde group known for their unique blend of folk, satirical musical comedy, and absurd stage performances. Formed primarily by Travis Lewis (aka Travis Shook) on guitar and vocals, and Bobby "Shook" Taylor on vocals and guitar, the group operated as a rotating collective, often accompanied by different musicians. Active in the American underground folk and university scene in the late 60s and early 70s, they created music that was both hilarious and well-crafted. The Essential Travis, Shook & The Club Wow is a concept album that compiles their studio and live recordings, capturing their absurd and satirical style.
