Crimes of passion, the second album of Pat Benatar is one of his most accomplished works. Her husband of singer-guitarist Neil Giraldo is credited only four pieces, but regardless, those who are not of it being excellent. The resumption Kate Bush ( "Wuthering Heights") here gives another dimension to the title, Pat Benatar singing in a high register less. There is also the famous 'Hit me with your best' by Canadian musician Eddie Schwartz, and also what the nugget 'I'm gonna follow you' composed by American Billy Steinberg who, for the record is also the source of some hits together with Tom Kelly. ( 'Like a virgin' Madonna 'True colors' Cindy Lauper, 'Eternal flame' or the Bangles 'Alone' Heart ...) Excuse still less! Crimes of passion is therefore an FM rock album of great quality which listening is always pleasant today.

Son compositeur-guitariste de mari Neil Giraldo est crédité seulement sur quatre morceaux, mais peu importe, celles qui ne sont pas de lui étant excellentes. La reprise de Kate Bush ('Wuthering Heights') donne ici une autre dimension au titre, Pat Benatar chantant dans un registre moins aigu.
Il y a aussi le très connu 'Hit me with your best' écrit par le musicien canadien Eddie Schwartz, et également la pépite qu'est 'I'm gonna follow you' composé par l'américain Billy Steinberg qui, pour la petite histoire, est aussi à l'origine de quelques hits en collaboration avec Tom Kelly. ('Like a virgin' de Madonna, 'True colors' de Cindy Lauper, 'Eternal flame' des Bangles ou encore 'Alone' de Heart ...) Excusez tout de même du peu ! Crimes of passion est donc un album de rock FM de grande qualité dont l'écoute est toujours aussi agréable aujourd'hui.
