Originaire de Cincinnati (Ohio), The Sacred Mushroom fut actif à la fin des années 60 autour des frères Pagano : Larry (chant) et Danny (guitare). Le groupe mêle avec une grande authenticité blues psychédélique et rock garage, dans un style à mi-chemin entre les débuts du Grateful Dead et les atmosphères plus sombres de Cream. Leur unique album, sorti en 1969 sur le label obscure Parallax, est devenu un véritable album culte du rock underground américain. The Sacred Mushroom was a Cincinnati-based psychedelic blues rock band formed in the late 1960s by brothers Larry and Danny Pagano.
