Country Funk est un groupe californien formé en 1968 à Los Angeles, spécialisé dans un rock psychédélique teinté de country et de soul. Leur unique album éponyme, enregistré aux Record Plant en 1969, est sorti sur Polydor en 1970. Malgré des ventes modestes, il est rapidement devenu une pièce convoitée grâce à son mélange original de guitares fuzz, harmonies folk-rock et grooves soul. Ce son hybride préfigure le genre country‑rock des années 70, avec un style "twangy" qu'on comparerait à Crosby, Stills & Nash, Poco ou Buffalo Springfield.

Country Funk was a Los Angeles-based quartet that recorded their only self-titled album in 1969 and released it in 1970 on Polydor. The album blends psychedelic rock, country-rock, and blue-eyed soul with fuzz guitar, tight harmonies, and warm grooves. Though it achieved little commercial success, the album later earned a cult following for its twangy sound and eclectic mix — reminiscent of Buffalo Springfield, Poco, and CSN — and is considered a lost gem of early country‑rock .
