Originally released in 1976 in a very limited edition, Marcus is the self-titled and only album by an obscure American band led by vocalist-guitarist Marcus Malone. Straddling psychedelic hard rock and proto-metal, the album stands out for its electric intensity, fuzz-drenched riffs, and Malone’s roaring vocals. Largely overlooked upon release, it has since become a cult favorite among 70s underground rock collectors.

Imagine a fusion of Blue Cheer, Sir Lord Baltimore, and early Hawkwind — Marcus delivers raw, heavy, and fuzz-laden rock with occasional spacey detours. Its uncompromising spirit and raw energy capture the essence of American underground hard rock in the mid-70s.
