Stone the Crows, formed in 1969 in Glasgow, Scotland, was a British blues-rock band celebrated for its soulful, progressive sound and powerful live presence. Fronted by the incredible Maggie Bell and guitarist Les Harvey, the group carved a niche in the UK rock scene of the early 70s, blending blues, soul, and hard rock with emotional depth and raw energy.

After signing with Polydor and releasing a self-titled debut in 1970, the band gained wider attention. Their third album, Teenage Licks (1971), is widely regarded as their most accomplished work. Tragically, the death of Les Harvey in 1972 on stage cut the band’s momentum short. Despite their brief existence, Stone the Crows left behind a lasting influence on the evolution of rock and blues fusion.
