Nigel Olsson est un batteur et chanteur britannique, né le 10 février 1949 à Wallasey, dans le Cheshire. Il s'est fait connaître dans les années 1960 avec le groupe Plastic Penny, puis a brièvement joué avec Uriah Heep et le Spencer Davis Group. Sa carrière prend un tournant décisif lorsqu'il rejoint Elton John en 1970, formant avec le bassiste Dee Murray une section rythmique emblématique. Parallèlement à son rôle auprès d'Elton John, il mène une carrière solo dès le début des années 1970.

Nigel Olsson is a British drummer and singer, born on February 10, 1949, in Wallasey, Cheshire. He gained early recognition with Plastic Penny and later played with Uriah Heep and the Spencer Davis Group. In 1970, he joined Elton John and bassist Dee Murray, becoming part of Elton's classic rhythm section. Alongside his work with Elton John, Olsson also pursued a solo career beginning in the early 1970s.
