Power Of Zeus was formed around singer / guitarist Joe Periano shortly after his release from the Marine Corps. Joe was joined by bassist / vocalist Bill Jones, drummer and keyboardist Bob Michalski Dennie Webber. Gangrene originally named the quartet inspired heavy rock Cream / Zeppelin / Sabbath has become the recognized group of Wooden Nickel club, where they were eventually spotted by a local producer. The Rare Earth Motown signed the training provided they find a new name. After deciding Power Of Zeus, they started working on what would become their only album. The LP was a flop at the time, but has since become a highly sought, to achieve a true legendary status among the heavy-rock record collectors. Power Of Zeus a été formé autour du chanteur/guitariste Joe Periano peu après sa libération du Marine Corps. Joe a été rejoint par le bassiste/chanteur Bill Jones, le batteur Bob Michalski et le claviériste Dennie Webber. Initialement nommé Gangrene, le quatuor inspiré du heavy rock Cream / Zeppelin / Sabbat est devenu le groupe attitré du club de Wooden Nickel, où ils ont finalement été repérés par un producteur local. Le label Rare Earth Motown a signé la formation à condition qu'ils trouvent un nouveau nom. Après avoir décidé de Power Of Zeus, ils ont commencé à travailler sur ce qui allait devenir leur seul album. Le LP a fait un flop à l'époque, mais est devenu depuis un très recherché, pour atteindre un véritable statut légendaire parmi les collectionneurs de disques heavy-rock.
