Killing Floor was formed in 1968 in London. To realize the level of musicians, they had accompanied Freddy King during his tour in Britain. The album includes 11 original compositions and a cover for opening. This recovery, 'Woman You Need Love', signed Willie Dixon (stolen by Led Zeppelin for 'Whole Lotta Love'), is widely rearranged with a frenzied piano behind a sharp guitar and rhythm changes well put together. Delicate touch of finesse with the intense 'Keepon Walking' and a boogie blues solo taps by Lou Martin ( 'Lou's Blues'). And ending with a less traditional note, a great hard rock / blues over 8 minutes 'People Change Your Mind'. This first album is excellent and well represents the success of the British rock hard the late sixties, drawing its sources besides the US black blues original.

L’album regroupe 11 compositions originales et une reprise pour l’ouverture. Cette reprise, 'Woman You Need Love' , signée Willie Dixon (volé par Led Zeppelin pour 'Whole Lotta Love' ), est largement réarrangée avec un piano endiablé derrière une guitare tranchante et des changements de rythme bien ficelés. Délicate touche de finesse avec l’intense 'Keepon Walking' et un solo de boogie blues pianoté par Lou Martin ('Lou’s Blues'). Et pour finir par une note moins traditionnelle, un génial hard rock/blues de plus de 8 minutes, 'People Change Your Mind' .
Ce premier album est excellent et représente bien la réussite du hard rock britannique de la fin des sixties, puisant ses sources sans compter dans le blues black US originel.
