Fondé à la fin des années 60 autour de Dave Cousins, Strawbs est l’un des groupes britanniques les plus singuliers à avoir traversé la mutation du folk vers le rock progressif. Paru en 1972, Grave New World marque un tournant majeur dans la carrière du groupe, suite au départ de Rick Wakeman, remplacé par Blue Weaver aux claviers.
