Brave Belt est un groupe canadien formé en 1971 par Randy Bachman, ancien membre de The Guess Who, avec son frère Robbie Bachman et Chad Allan, également ex-Guess Who. Leur objectif initial était de créer une musique plus douce et mélodique, mêlant country rock, pop et rock psychédélique, en rupture avec le son plus dur de leurs expériences passées. Ce projet intimiste donnera naissance à deux albums avant de muter en Bachman-Turner Overdrive avec l’arrivée de Fred Turner. Le premier opus, éponyme, explore des atmosphères west coast et folk rock dans un esprit expérimental et introspectif, bien que parfois inégal.

Brave Belt was a Canadian rock band founded in 1971 by Randy Bachman, formerly of The Guess Who, along with his brother Robbie Bachman and Chad Allan. Intended as a departure into softer, more melodic territory, Brave Belt blended country rock, psych-folk, and gentle harmonies. Their self-titled debut leans into acoustic textures and warm vocal layers, reflecting a West Coast influence. Although not a commercial success, the album set the groundwork for the heavier, more successful sound of Bachman-Turner Overdrive, which would follow shortly after.
