Bearfoot est un groupe canadien formé en 1969 à Toronto par Jim Atkinson, Terry Danko (frère de Rick de The Band), Dwayne Ford, Hugh Brockie et Brian Hilton, issus de la tournée de Ronnie Hawkins . Le quintette signe chez Columbia et sort en 1972 son premier album sous le nom Atkinson, Danko & Ford (repassé en Bearfoot dès 1973). Avec un son roots rock chaleureux, teinté de country et de folk, l’opus contient notamment le single Right On. Nominé aux Juno Awards 1974, le groupe connaîtra quelques succès canadiens (Molly, Passing Time) avant de se dissoudre, Dwayne Ford poursuivant une carrière solo.

Bearfoot is a Canadian rock band formed in 1969 in Toronto by Jim Atkinson, Terry Danko (Rick Danko’s brother), Dwayne Ford, Hugh Brockie, and Brian Hilton, veterans of Ronnie Hawkins’s touring band.. Signed to Columbia, they released their debut album as Atkinson, Danko & Ford in 1972, retitled Bearfoot in 1973. Blending rootsy rock with country and folk, the record features the single . The band earned a Juno nomination in 1974, enjoyed Canadian hits like Molly and Passing Time, and disbanded soon after. Dwayne Ford went on to a solo career.
