Paru en 1973, Kings of Oblivion est le troisième album studio des Pink Fairies et marque un tournant dans leur son. Après le départ de Paul Rudolph, la guitare est confiée à Larry Wallis, dont le jeu incisif et la plume acérée donnent à l’album une orientation plus hard rock, tout en conservant l’esprit libertaire et psychédélique du groupe. Released in 1973, Kings of Oblivion is the third studio album by Pink Fairies, and represents a shift in their musical direction. Following Paul Rudolph’s departure, Larry Wallis took over on guitar and songwriting, infusing the band’s sound with a sharper hard rock edge while keeping their psychedelic and anarchic spirit intact. The record is more structured than their earlier works but still delivers the raw energy and free-form creativity that made them cult heroes of the UK underground scene.
