Fresh Blueberry Pancake est un power trio obscur originaire de Pittsburgh, actif à la toute fin des années 60. Leur unique album Heavy, autoproduit en 1970 à très peu d’exemplaires, est aujourd’hui un véritable graal pour les collectionneurs de hard rock psychédélique underground. Avec une guitare saturée à l’extrême, une basse ronflante et une batterie au groove primitif, le groupe balance un rock cru, inspiré par Cream, Blue Cheer ou Hendrix. Le chant râpeux et l’énergie brute confèrent à Heavy un parfum garage irrésistible. Brut, fuzzé, direct : un condensé d’underground US à l’état pur.

Fresh Blueberry Pancake was a short-lived power trio from Pittsburgh that self-released their only album Heavy in 1970. Pressed in tiny numbers, it has since become a cult favorite among collectors of obscure psychedelic and hard rock. Drawing influence from Cream, Blue Cheer, and Hendrix, the band delivers raw, fuzz-drenched guitar riffs, gritty vocals, and primal rhythm work. The result is an unfiltered slab of heavy underground rock—garagey, loud, and unapologetically heavy. Heavy is a lost gem from the American DIY acid rock scene.
