Jolliver Arkansaw est la continuation du groupe américain Bo Grumpus, formé à Boston en 1967 par Eddie Mottau et Joe Hutchinson, anciens membres du duo folk "Two Guys from Boston". Rejoints par le bassiste Jim Colegrove et le batteur Ronnie Blake, ils ont changé leur nom en Jolliver Arkansaw en 1969 en raison de problèmes contractuels avec leur ancien label. Sous la direction du producteur Felix Pappalardi, connu pour son travail avec Cream et Mountain, le groupe a enregistré l'album Home, sorti la même année sur le label Bell Records. L'album mêle des éléments de rock psychédélique, de folk et de blues, avec des arrangements sophistiqués et des harmonies vocales riches. Malgré sa qualité artistique, l'album n'a pas rencontré de succès commercial, et le groupe s'est dissous peu après sa sortie.

Jolliver Arkansaw is the continuation of the American band Bo Grumpus, formed in Boston in 1967 by Eddie Mottau and Joe Hutchinson, former members of the folk duo "Two Guys from Boston". Joined by bassist Jim Colegrove and drummer Ronnie Blake, they changed their name to Jolliver Arkansaw in 1969 due to contractual issues with their previous label.Under the direction of producer Felix Pappalardi, known for his work with Cream and Mountain, the band recorded the album Home, released the same year on Bell Records. The album blends elements of psychedelic rock, folk, and blues, featuring sophisticated arrangements and rich vocal harmonies. Despite its artistic merit, the album did not achieve commercial success, and the band disbanded shortly after its release.
