Sorti en 1974, Extravaganza est le quatrième album studio du groupe britannique Stackridge. Enregistré aux AIR Studios de Londres et produit par Tony Ashton, cet album marque une transition significative pour le groupe, avec des changements de formation notables. Released in 1974, Extravaganza is the fourth studio album by British rock band Stackridge. Recorded at AIR Studios in London and produced by Tony Ashton, the album signifies a pivotal shift for the band, with significant lineup changes.Founding members James Warren, James "Crun" Walter, and Billy Sparkle had departed, leading to the inclusion of new musicians: Keith Gemmell (formerly of Audience) on wind instruments, Rod Bowkett on keyboards, Paul Karas on bass, and Roy Morgan on drums. This new ensemble steered the band's music towards a more eclectic blend of progressive rock, jazz-rock, and musical theatre influences.
The album features a variety of compositions, from upbeat tracks like "Spin Round The Room" to more intricate pieces such as "No One's More Important Than The Earthworm," a rendition of a song by Gordon Haskell.
