Shoot was a short-lived British band formed in 1972 by Jim McCarty, former drummer of the Yardbirds and founding member of Renaissance. The band also included Dave Greene (vocals, guitar, banjo), Craig Collinge (drums, percussion), and Bill Russell (bass). Their only album, On the Frontier, was released in 1973 on the EMI label.

The album stands out for its blend of progressive rock, folk, and jazz, and features notable guest contributions from musicians such as John Tout (piano, Renaissance), B.J. Cole (pedal steel guitar), Lyn Dobson (saxophone), and Graham Preskett (violin).
