Bloodstone est un groupe de soul et funk américain formé à Kansas City en 1962 sous le nom de The Sinceres. Après avoir déménagé à Los Angeles, ils se rebaptisent Bloodstone et signent avec Decca Records. En 1972, ils sortent leur premier album éponyme, produit par George Braunstein, Ron Hamad et le groupe lui-même. Cet album, bien que n'ayant pas connu de succès commercial immédiat, est aujourd'hui considéré comme un classique du genre, mêlant soul, funk et éléments psychédéliques.

Bloodstone is an American soul and funk band formed in Kansas City in 1962 under the name The Sinceres. After relocating to Los Angeles, they changed their name to Bloodstone and signed with Decca Records. In 1972, they released their self-titled debut album, produced by George Braunstein, Ron Hamad, and the band itself. While the album did not achieve immediate commercial success, it is now regarded as a classic in the genre, blending soul, funk, and psychedelic elements.
