🎸 Bamboo – Bamboo (1968)
🇺🇸 Biographie (English)
Dave “Snaker” Ray’s solo project, Bamboo (1968, Elektra), blends folk, blues, jazz, country, and subtle psychedelia. Featuring tack piano, rocksichord, dobro by Red Rhodes, and performances by Will Donicht and Daniel Lee Hall, the record shifts between heartfelt roots songwriting and introspective, genre-hopping soundscapes—drawing favorable comparisons to the Butterfield Blues Band and early Neil Young. Though remarkable, the album flew under the radar upon release.
