Chicago-based duo Hollins & Starr released only one album, Sidewalks Talking (1970), an obscure yet fascinating blend of psych-folk, baroque pop, and jazz-inflected experimentation. Produced by Ralph Bass and released on Ovation Records, the record is a kaleidoscope of dreamy vocals, whimsical melodies, and unexpected instrumental flourishes. Though largely unnoticed upon release, it has since become a cult classic for collectors and fans of late 60s/early 70s American psych.
