Crazy Mabel est un groupe britannique de rock psychédélique, prog & blues formé à la fin des années 60, qui n’a publié qu’un seul album, Crazy Mabel, en 1970 (réédité en Allemagne en 1971). L’album, enregistré live au Pheasantry à Londres, offre une musique brute et couverte d’improvisations fiévreuses, s’inscrivant dans la lignée de Blodwyn Pig et Colosseum. Enregistré dans une ambiance de club londonien, avec cuivres et guitare en fusion, il allie énergie live et sophistication instrumentale. Aujourd’hui, ce disque est une pièce de collection rare, populaire en rééditions compact disc, notamment en 2004 par Sunrise Records

A one-of-a-kind British psych-prog-blues band, Crazy Mabel released their lone LP Crazy Mabel in 1970 (Dutch Pink Elephant) and 1971 (German Bellaphon). Captured live at London’s Pheasantry, the album blends gritty improvisation, fiery live feel, and progressive brass-rock energy. Drawing comparisons to Blodwyn Pig and Colosseum, the record has gained cult status among underground rock enthusiasts. It was reissued on CD in 2004 by Sunrise.
