Après la fin de son aventure solo, Keef Hartley revient en 1975 à la tête d’un nouveau projet baptisé Dog Soldier, fondé avec son ancien acolyte Miller Anderson. Le groupe propose un rock bluesy puissant, agrémenté d’accents hard rock et progressifs, fidèle à l’esprit des années 70. Unique album studio du groupe, Dog Soldier illustre un savoir-faire solide, porté par l’expérience de musiciens aguerris. Malgré sa qualité, le projet reste sans suite, victime d’un contexte musical changeant et d’une production confidentielle.

In 1975, Keef Hartley returned with a new venture: Dog Soldier, a blues-rock supergroup of sorts featuring his longtime collaborator Miller Anderson. Their self-titled debut album blends blues-rock, hard rock, and progressive touches, showcasing seasoned musicianship and tight songwriting. Though the album received limited exposure, it remains a cult favorite, and stands as the only release by this short-lived but compelling ensemble.
