Released in 1968, 40 Blue Fingers, Freshly Packed and Ready to Serve marked the debut of Chicken Shack, one of the key bands in the British blues explosion. Led by Stan Webb’s fiery guitar work and featuring Christine Perfect on vocals and keyboards, the album is a raw, punchy set that blends blues standards with a few original tracks. Its gritty sound and confident performances quickly earned it a place among the era’s best blues-rock records.
