Bold, groupe originaire de Springfield (Massachusetts), sort en 1969 son unique album sous le label ABC. Produit par Bill Szymczyk (futur producteur des Eagles), Lullaby Opus Four marque l’évolution du groupe du garage raw des années 60 vers un rock psychédélique aux accents folk, progressifs et jazzy. À l’instar de Buffalo Springfield et de Dylan, Bold propose un travail audacieux de covers et d’instrus, mis en valeur par la finesse de l’orgue et certaines structures surprenantes.
