Paice Ashton Lord est un supergroupe britannique éphémère formé en 1976 par trois figures notables du rock : Ian Paice (batteur de Deep Purple), Tony Ashton (claviériste et chanteur du duo Ashton, Gardner and Dyke), et Jon Lord (claviériste légendaire de Deep Purple). Leur unique album, Malice In Wonderland, paru en 1977, mêle rock progressif, funk, soul et jazz dans une ambiance décontractée et inventive. Bien que le groupe ne survive pas à la tournée qui suivra, l’album reste une curiosité précieuse et un témoignage de la virtuosité collective de ses membres.

Paice Ashton Lord was a short-lived British rock band formed in 1976 by three accomplished musicians: Ian Paice and Jon Lord of Deep Purple, and Tony Ashton of Ashton, Gardner and Dyke. Their sole album, Malice In Wonderland(1977), blends rock with funk, soul, and jazz flavors, showcasing an experimental spirit far from the hard rock roots of Deep Purple. Despite disbanding soon after its release, the album is considered a cult classic and an intriguing fusion of genres by three seasoned artists.
