Mad Dog was a short-lived American psychedelic rock band whose only album, Dawn of the Seventh Sun, was recorded in 1969 but remained unreleased for decades. The band created a hypnotic blend of dark psych, heavy blues and progressive elements, featuring fuzzy guitars, haunting organ lines, and introspective vocals. Its delayed release added to its cult appeal, making it a sought-after artifact among collectors of obscure late '60s acid rock. Though largely unknown in its time, the album has since earned recognition as a lost psychedelic treasure.
