Brother To Brother est un groupe de soul et de funk américain formé au milieu des années 1970. Mené par le saxophoniste Michael Burton, le groupe s’inscrit dans la lignée des formations engagées et groovy de cette décennie. Leur musique combine des éléments de jazz-funk, de soul et de rhythm & blues, avec des textes souvent empreints de conscience sociale.

Leur premier succès arrive en 1974 avec une reprise du titre In the Bottle de Gil Scott-Heron, qui se hisse dans le Top 10 des charts R&B américains. Ce morceau figure sur leur premier album éponyme.

En 1976, Brother To Brother publie Let Your Mind Be Free chez Turbo Records, un album qui confirme leur style énergique et engagé. Brother To Brother was an American funk and soul group formed in the mid-1970s, led by saxophonist Michael Burton. Known for their fusion of jazz-funk, soul, and R&B, the band delivered music that carried both groove and social commentary.

Their breakthrough came in 1974 with a cover of Gil Scott-Heron's In the Bottle, which became a Top 10 R&B hit and marked the group as a force in conscious funk music. The song was featured on their debut album of the same name.

In 1976, the band released Let Your Mind Be Free on Turbo Records. This second album showcased their funky rhythms, sharp brass arrangements, and lyrical themes about personal and societal liberation. Though often overlooked by mainstream audiences, Brother To Brother remains respected among funk and soul aficionados for their energetic sound and message-driven songs.
