Kingdom Come is more than a copy of Led Zeppelin. Of course, the singer's voice remind Plant, but this is by no means a posture or a mimicry. Lenny Wolf sings naturally, without forcing its powerful and nuanced timbre. And the bluesy resonances remain in the minority on an album which offers mostly the hard US perfectly rooted in his time, certainly less festive and hedonistic as that proposed by groups like Bon Jovi, Tesla or Dokken but inflated striking riffs and choruses memorized: "Living out of touch" haunting and sensual, "Pushin 'hard" acoustics "Loving you" or the electrifying "Shout it out" and its catchy rhythm are so many pieces that offer an artistic bail the US-German group.
The self-titled debut album of Kingdom Come, released in 1988, is often regarded as a classic of 80s hard rock. Led by the charismatic Lenny Wolf, the band channels the spirit of 70s rock legends like Led Zeppelin, while injecting fresh energy. This album combines powerful riffs, catchy melodies, and polished production, offering a dynamic range that captivated rock enthusiasts. Standout tracks like "Get It On" and "What Love Can Be" helped make this release memorable.
