Catapilla est un groupe londonien formé en 1970, rassemblant sept musiciens dont deux soufflants et une chanteuse au style intense, Anna Meek. Repéré par le manager de Black Sabbath, ils signent chez Vertigo et publient leur unique album éponyme en 1971. Entre jazz-rock, psychédélisme et atmosphères inquiétantes, l’album, produit en édition gatefold swirl, devient rapidement culte malgré une carrière brève.

Catapilla were a seven-piece London band formed in 1970, blending saxophones, woodwinds, and the striking vocals of Anna Meek. Discovered by Black Sabbath’s manager, they released their lone album in 1971 on Vertigo. A haunting fusion of jazz-rock and psychedelia, delivered in a distinctive gatefold swirl edition, the record achieved cult status despite the band's short lifespan .
