Originaire de Fort Worth au Texas, Bloodrock livre avec Bloodrock U.S.A. son quatrième album studio, sorti en 1971 sur le label Capitol Records. Hailing from Fort Worth, Texas, Bloodrock delivered their fourth studio album Bloodrock U.S.A. in 1971 on Capitol Records. The band moves away from their earlier raw hard rock to explore more progressive territories while maintaining a dark and powerful energy. This album also marks the end of the original lineup, with singer Jim Rutledge and guitarist Lee Pickens leaving shortly after recording. Featuring ambitious compositions and lyrics with critical, disillusioned tones, Bloodrock U.S.A. stands as a landmark of 70s Texas rock.
