Après un premier album prometteur, The Apple Pie Motherhood Band revient en 1969 avec Apple Pie, poursuivant son exploration du rock psychédélique. Le groupe accentue ici ses influences blues et soul tout en conservant ses atmosphères planantes. Malgré un potentiel artistique certain, ce second opus sera aussi le dernier de leur courte carrière, le groupe se séparant peu après sa parution.

Following their promising debut, The Apple Pie Motherhood Band released Apple Pie in 1969, continuing their psychedelic journey while leaning more heavily into blues and soul influences. Despite clear artistic potential, this second album marked the end of their short career, as the group disbanded shortly after its release.
