Agnes Strange were a hard blues/boogie trio from Southampton—John Westwood (guitar/vocals), Alan Green (bass/vocals), and Dave Rodwell (drums/vocals). Their sole album, Strange Flavour, was released in 1975 on BirdsNest (a Pye Records pub-based label), produced by Dave Travis and engineered by Colin Thurston . With heavy riffs, boogie grooves, and psych/blues leanings reminiscent of Budgie, Status Quo, and Groundhogs, the record suffered from its limited pub-release launch and the band disbanded shortly after.

With Strange Flavour, Agnes Strange delivered a true studio album, recorded in 1975.
