Sorti en 1972, The Neighbour's Son est le deuxième et dernier album du groupe danois Day of Phoenix. Formé en 1968, le groupe avait déjà marqué les esprits avec Wide Open N-Way (1970), un disque psychédélique ambitieux. Avec The Neighbour's Son, Day of Phoenix adopte une approche plus concise et orientée vers le rock, tout en conservant des éléments progressifs. Le son de l'album évoque parfois les premières œuvres de The Who ou de Mountain, avec des compositions plus courtes et une production plus directe. Bien que moins expérimental que leur précédent opus, cet album reste une pièce notable de la scène rock danoise des années 70.

Released in 1972, The Neighbour's Son is the second and final album by Danish band Day of Phoenix. Formed in 1968, the group had previously garnered attention with Wide Open N-Way (1970), an ambitious psychedelic record. With The Neighbour's Son, Day of Phoenix adopts a more concise, rock-oriented approach while retaining progressive elements.The album's sound occasionally recalls early works by The Who or Mountain, featuring shorter compositions and a more straightforward production. Though less experimental than their debut, this album remains a notable piece of the 1970s Danish rock scene.
